Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker in "The Dark Knight" is considered one of the greatest performances in cinematic history. However, since Ledger passed away in 2008, it would not be possible for him to reprise the role. It would be best to honor Ledger's legacy by allowing his portrayal of the Joker to stand alone as a timeless and unforgettable performance. **
