One underrated series that comes to mind is "The Leftovers." This show received critical acclaim but didn't quite reach the level of popularity of other series. It's a thought-provoking and emotionally intense drama that explores themes of grief, loss, and existential questions in a unique and compelling way. The performances are outstanding, and the storytelling is both complex and engaging, making it a hidden gem for those who appreciate deep and impactful television. **

Some movies that are often considered underrated include "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" for its unique storytelling and emotional depth, and "The Prestige" for its intricate plot and strong performances. On the other hand, some movies that are commonly seen as overrated include "Avatar" for its reliance on special effects over storytelling, and "The Twilight Saga" for its perceived lack of depth and character development. Ultimately, the perception of a movie being underrated or overrated is subjective and can differ from person to person. **

Some underrated anime series include "Barakamon," a heartwarming slice-of-life series about a calligrapher finding inspiration in a rural village; "Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu," a beautifully crafted drama about the art of rakugo storytelling; and "Planetes," a thought-provoking sci-fi series about space debris collectors in the near future. One anime that is even more underrated than underrated is "Kino's Journey: The Beautiful World." This thought-provoking series follows the travels of Kino and her talking motorcycle, Hermes, as they explore various countries and encounter unique cultures and societies. The show delves into deep philosophical themes and moral dilemmas, yet it often goes unnoticed in the anime community. Despite its compelling storytelling and thought-provoking content, "Kino's Journey" remains underappreciated and deserves more recognition. **

I think the series "Fringe" and "Hannibal" are underrated. Both series have passionate fan bases, but they often fly under the radar compared to other more mainstream shows. These series offer compelling storytelling and strong performances that deserve more recognition. **
