The Spartans had a unique approach to homosexuality that was different from modern conceptions. In ancient Sparta, it was common for older warriors to form mentorship and romantic relationships with younger men, as part of their military training and bonding. This practice was not seen as exclusively homosexual, but rather as a way to build strong bonds and camaraderie among soldiers. It was also expected that these relationships would not interfere with the men's duty to marry and have children. Therefore, while the Spartans had a different approach to male relationships, it would not be accurate to label them as exclusively homosexual. **

The Spartans were known for their intense and rigorous training regimen, which began at a young age. Boys were sent to military school at the age of 7, where they underwent physical and mental training to prepare them for a life of warfare. They were taught to endure hardship, to fight with discipline and courage, and to prioritize the needs of the state over their own. Training included activities such as running, wrestling, boxing, and weapons training, as well as enduring harsh conditions and learning to survive in the wild. This intense training produced some of the most formidable warriors of ancient Greece. **

Spartiates, on the other hand, specifically refer to the full citizens of Sparta who underwent the rigorous military training and were considered the elite warrior class. Spartiates made up only a small portion of the overall Spartan population. **

No, the 300 Spartans did not build the Trojan horse. The Trojan horse was a large wooden horse used by the Greeks to infiltrate the city of Troy during the Trojan War. The story of the Trojan horse is part of Greek mythology and dates back to around 1200 BC, while the 300 Spartans are known for their role in the Battle of Thermopylae, which took place around 480 BC. Therefore, the two events are not connected, and the 300 Spartans did not have any involvement in the construction of the Trojan horse. **
