It ultimately depends on personal preference, as both döner and gyros pita are delicious options. Döner pita is a Turkish dish made with seasoned meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie, while gyros pita is a Greek dish made with similar seasoned meat. Both are typically served in a pita with various toppings such as vegetables and sauces. Whether you prefer the Turkish or Greek version, both are flavorful and satisfying choices. **

To cut pita bread, first, lay the pita flat on a cutting board. Then, using a sharp knife, carefully slice the pita in half horizontally to create two rounds. You can then further cut each round into smaller wedges or strips depending on your preference. Be cautious while cutting to ensure the pita bread stays intact and doesn't crumble. **

The number of calories in a homemade gyro pita can vary depending on the specific ingredients and portion sizes used. However, a typical homemade gyro pita can range from 500-700 calories. This estimate includes the pita bread, gyro meat, tzatziki sauce, and any additional toppings such as tomatoes, onions, and lettuce. It's important to consider the calorie content of each ingredient and adjust portion sizes accordingly to meet individual dietary needs. **
