It is not necessary to watch Fullmetal Alchemist before Brotherhood, as Brotherhood is a more faithful adaptation of the original manga. However, some viewers may choose to watch both versions to see the differences in storytelling and character development. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference and whether you want to experience both versions of the story. **

Knights were typically skilled and trained warriors who were often of noble birth. They were known for their chivalry, bravery, and loyalty to their lord or king. Knights were also expected to adhere to a code of conduct known as chivalry, which emphasized virtues such as honor, courtesy, and respect for women. They were often heavily armored and skilled in combat, particularly in the use of weapons such as swords, lances, and shields. Additionally, knights were often associated with the ownership and protection of land, and were expected to defend their lord's territory. **

There are several types of knights, including knights errant who traveled in search of adventure, knights bachelor who were not members of an order, and knights banneret who led a company of knights under their own banner. Additionally, there were knights of the shire who represented their county in Parliament, and knights of the Garter who were members of the prestigious Order of the Garter. Each type of knight had different responsibilities and privileges based on their rank and status. **

Both Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood are excellent anime series with compelling storylines and well-developed characters. However, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is often recommended as the superior version as it follows the original manga more closely and has a more complete and cohesive storyline. If you are looking for a more faithful adaptation and a more in-depth exploration of the plot, then Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood would be the better choice. **

The knights faced several problems, including the high cost of maintaining their equipment and horses, the physical dangers of battle and tournaments, and the constant pressure to prove their worth through acts of bravery and chivalry. Additionally, they often faced political and social challenges, such as navigating the complex relationships between lords and vassals, and the expectations of courtly behavior. Finally, the code of chivalry placed heavy demands on knights, requiring them to uphold ideals of honor, loyalty, and courage, which could be difficult to maintain in the face of real-world conflicts and temptations. **

The end of the knights came with the decline of feudalism and the rise of centralized monarchies in Europe. As the power of kings grew, the need for knights as a separate warrior class diminished. The development of gunpowder and firearms also played a role in making the traditional knightly armor and tactics obsolete. By the late Middle Ages, knights had largely been replaced by professional armies and mercenaries, marking the end of their prominent role in European warfare. **
